- February 13th and 14th. Keomah Kennel Club
Great start of the year for Magic. He goes BOB over a good Special both days. We were pretty busy with puppies, but it was nice to get back in the show ring.
- March 27th and 28th. Dubuque Kennel Club.
We showed both Ellie and Magic. Magic went BOS on Saturday, the judge like Glory the class bitch for BOB. ON Sunday Magic went BOB and Ellie went BOS
- April 24th and 25th. Waterloo Kennel Club
Good weekend for Magic and Ellie. This is our 'home show' so it is nice to do well. Magic went BOB both days and Ellie was BOS. We are getting really bad about taking pictures, sorry.
- May 1st and 2nd. Marshaltown Kennel Club
Odd weekend. Magic fell to BOS again to a Bitch on Saturday. Arley was in a bad mood. But on Sunday Magic went BOB and a Group 4!!! (see picture), under judge Roger Hartinger.
- May 27th to the 30th. National Specialty in Bloomington IL.
Great weekend. Beautiful dogs and lots of fun. I will get together some pictures soon. We had a wonderful time with old friends and made some new ones. A Standard Schnauzer went BIS back to back to the thrill of Penny Duffee. One day I hope it is one of our dogs performing that well. Owner handled of coarse!
- June 19th and 20th. Fort Dodge kennel Club.
We showed just Magic. He went BOB both days and garnered his first Grand Champion points. We also got a chance to visit "Daisy", one of Cinders pups and do a little grooming on her. She is becoming a beautiful girl. She will be in the show ring soon!
- June 26th and 27th. Hawkeye Kennel Club (Iowa City)
This was a great weekend!!!!! We got Cinder back in the ring and she showed well going Reserve both days. But the real news was how well Magic did. He went BOB both days and won a Group 3 (see picture) under judge Brian Meyer. And to top off the weekend Magic won the Working Group (see picture) on Sunday under judge Chris Walkowicz. What a thrill!!!!
- July 17th and 18th. Nebraska Kennel Club.
Another thrilling weekend. We brought out "the boys" for their first shows. 'Stormy', Von Rose Stormy Winter von Link and 'Shade', Von Rose Hazy Shade of Winter turned six months old and are ready to take the show ring by storm! Stormy won his puppy class on Saturday. Shade returned the favor on Sunday by winning the puppy class and going Reserve to a major, beating a dog that had completed his championship the day before.
The real big news was that Cinder went Best of Winners and BOS on Saturday to get her final major and finish her Championship. So may I introduce our new champion .... CH Von Links Cinderlady von Rose!!! (see picture). Cinder went SEL on Sunday.
Magic went SEL on Saturday and BOS on Sunday to add a couple more majors toward his Grand Championship.
- End of July. Magic is ranked 14th by the AKC in breed points.
- July 14th. County Fair
Daisy (Cinders Girl) and Noelle won handling at the county fair. They also got top pre-novice obedience and top overall obedience. Pretty good for a six month old puppy and 13 year old handler! Now on to the State Fair and the AKC shows!
