Puppies News!!!

We had a great time raising the Halloween litter that
was born in October of 2016. There were beautiful puppies
and we placed them in wonderful homes. You should be
reading about some of them in the coming years as a number
of them went to show homes. We have little Raven, she is a
handful and we look forward to showing her.

But the puppy news doesn't stop there. Phantom, Int CH Grand Sieger
GCHS Von Rose Masked Phantom, will have puppies coming from
multiple litters this year.

Heather Petersen of Steinhaus Standard
Schnauzers has bred her "Kopa" Can CH Steinhaus Gargolaz Pizzaz to
Phantom up in Canada. Puppies were born in April 5th, 2017.

Phantom did it again. Here he is going Best In Show .... National Owner Handled Series!!!! It was at the February Des Moines Show, Cyclone County Kennel Club under judge Mr Geir Flyckt-Pederson, who judged at Westminster the weekend before. This is Phantoms second BIS NOHS!!! It is such a thrill to show such a great dog.

And again and again! Phantom goes back to back BIS NOHS at the Waukesha shows in July!! Thankyou to judges Eugene Blake and Pat Trotter for this honor. Phantom looks amazing and the pictures show it.

One more time to make it 4 NOSH BIS for the 2016 show year (his 5th overall) ... and a RBIS (at Springfiels IL). This is a picture of Phantom at the Waterloo Kennel Club in June under Judge Jan Ritchie Gladstone. Phantom finished the 2016 NOHS as the #1 Standard Schnauzer (second year in a row) with 1100 points. He was the only SS to be in the top 100 overall NOHS finishing 55th. He also ranks in the top 10 Standard Schnauzers in Breed and All Breed points for 2016.

Welcome! to the little corner of the web devoted to the Standard Schnauzers of 'von Rose'. I am Jon Rosenberg. I have owned representatives of this breed for over 40 years. Hopefully, I have learned a thing or two over the years that I can share with you here. I am also a bit of an Artist, with images of the Standards one of my favorite things to draw. Feel free to contact me if you have any freelancing needs such as: Web building, head studies, drawings, logos, publication design, letter heads or pedigree research. We also have T-shirts and other Standard Schnauzer merchandise including drawings, magnets and stickers! It seems I have always had a Schnauzer, or two, or eight in my home, I have also had success at showing a few of them. Now with Suzanne at my side we make an awesome team in the ring. We are also in the young stages of trying our hand at raising a few, quality litters of this wonderful breed. We are very excited at what we have produced thus far and we think the future will be even better. Magic has completed his Silver Grand Championship and is retired except for a few trips into the Veterans class. Ellie finished her Bronze Grand Championship in 2015. She had a litter of puppies in 2013, one beautiful pup we kept and named Phantom. We repeated this breeding (to one of the top males in the country) and produced a litter of 5 beautiful pups. Four of these pups finished in 2015 and 2016 including Spirit and Ivy who live with us. Spirist may enter the Specials ring in 2017 and compete against Phantom ... or will the competition be between Suzanne and myself. Phantom is our pride and joy. He is such a personality. We both really love to show him as he excells in the ring. He has beautiful conformation and movement that lets him glide around the ring. But his personality is what makes him so special. Ivy will be a great stepping stone for our breeding program. She is having her first litter in 2016 and was bred to a very nice SS from the past. Cinder is content to have her Championship and be matron of the house. She gave us some awesome puppies, especially the litter out of Magic. Dogs seem to accumulate here, we love them all and each one deserves their own special attention. Suzanne has taken a interest in Rally and Agility. She has already placed a RN on Stormy and Magic. She is planning to do some work with Shade. The dogs love to perform for her and I bet you will see her in the performance rings more often in the coming years. The future is bright at Von Rose. Contact us anytime at ... Jon1Rosenberg@Yahoo.com .... we would love to hear from you and talk about this special breed. We live in Iowa by the way, a great place in the heart of the country to raise beautiful puppies.
