It's that time again ... Puppies News!!!

We are happy to announce that we have bred our sweetheart,
Ivy (GCH Von Rose Enchanted Christmas Vision) to Sparky
(GCH Von Rose Commander Sparks). Sparky is owned by our good friends Sylvia and Bob. He is out of one of our first
litters of Magic and Cinder (the fire litter). The puppies should
arrive in early February 2018. Contact me if you are interested in one of these special puppies ... Jon1Rosenberg@Yahoo.com

2017 was a great year for us at Von Rose. I have been remiss at updating
the website, but I hope to do better in this 2018. Phantom continues to
excel. He ended the year in the Top 10 of the SSCA and Top 20 in both
Breed and All breed AKC points. All this handled by Suzanne and myself and limited showing. He also had enough points to qualify for the NOHS Championship finals in Orlando, even after only competing in three or four NOHS show weekends. He finished BOS at the National NOHS championship show. Suzanne had great fun showing Phantom at a International show in 2017 where Phantom earned his International Champion title along with a Grand Sieger title as he won multiple Best in Shows. Phantom also won his first SSCA Regional Specialty at the Prairieland Specialty (and a Group 1) and a BOS at the Heartland Regional Specialty (his sister, Lily won BOB). He is so much fun to show and keeps us going at home.
Ivy has had some show time in 2017 too. She finished her Grand Championship and has grown up to be a beautiful and loving girl. She had a real nice Select win up at the Heartland Regional Specialty. Her sister, Lily went BOB that day, Phantom BOS and Mama Ellie was Best Veteran. Even Phantoms kids, Envy and Epic went WB and WD and helped Phantom become Stud dog. That was a fun show!! Ivy also had enough points to be invited to the National Championship NOHS show in Orlando. She was in the top 5 or 6 nationally and one of the top Bitches.
We are hoping to see Spirit more in the show ring after a few shows in 2017. He is looking very nice and we are happy people see all the thing he has to offer. He will also be siring a litter in 2018 and we are excited to see what the puppies will look like. Let us know if you would be interested in a puppy out of Spirit and we will give you contact information with the Breeder.
Phantom sired two litters in 2017, with a number of pups going to enter the show ring in 2018. There may also be litters coming from him in 2018. But the big news is we will see puppies out of Ivy and Sparky early in 2018.
Sounds like a fun year ahead for us.

Phantom   Here he is going Best In Show .... multiple times at the International Dog Show in Hutchinson MN. He earned his International title along with being the Grand Siger for being the best of the best. Suzanne had him groomed beautifully and showed him to perfection!

Best of Breed at the Prairieland Regional Standard Schnauzer Specialty in Bloomington IL. So Phantom becomes a Specialty Winner!

Group 1 at the Illinois Valley Kennel Club, May 2017 under judge, Carolyn Alexander. She told us it had been more than 10 years since she awarded the Working Group to a Standard Schnauzer. She liked Phantom.

Welcome! to the little corner of the web devoted to the Standard Schnauzers of 'von Rose'. I am Jon Rosenberg. I have owned representatives of this breed for over 40 years. Hopefully, I have learned a thing or two over the years that I can share with you here. I am also a bit of an Artist, with images of the Standards one of my favorite things to draw. Feel free to contact me if you have any freelancing needs such as: Web building, head studies, drawings, logos, publication design, letter heads or pedigree research. We also have T-shirts and other Standard Schnauzer merchandise including drawings, magnets and stickers! It seems I have always had a Schnauzer, or two, or eight in my home, I have also had success at showing a few of them. Now with Suzanne at my side we make an awesome team in the ring. We are also in the young stages of trying our hand at raising a few, quality litters of this wonderful breed. We are very excited at what we have produced thus far and we think the future will be even better. Magic has completed his Silver Grand Championship and is retired except for a few trips into the Veterans class. Ellie finished her Bronze Grand Championship in 2015. She had a litter of puppies in 2013, one beautiful pup we kept and named Phantom. We repeated this breeding (to one of the top males in the country) and produced a litter of 5 beautiful pups. Four of these pups finished in 2015 and 2016 including Spirit and Ivy who live with us. Spirit may enter the Specials ring in 2017 and compete against Phantom ... or will the competition be between Suzanne and myself. Phantom is our pride and joy. He is such a personality. We both really love to show him as he excels in the ring. He has beautiful conformation and movement that lets him glide around the ring. But his personality is what makes him so special. Ivy will be a great stepping stone for our breeding program. She is having her first litter in 2016 and was bred to a very nice SS from the past. Cinder is content to have her Championship and be matron of the house. She gave us some awesome puppies, especially the litter out of Magic. Dogs seem to accumulate here, we love them all and each one deserves their own special attention. Suzanne has taken a interest in Rally and Agility. She has already placed a RN on Stormy and Magic. She is planning to do some work with Shade. The dogs love to perform for her and I bet you will see her in the performance rings more often in the coming years. The future is bright at Von Rose. Contact us anytime at ... Jon1Rosenberg@Yahoo.com .... we would love to hear from you and talk about this special breed. We live in Iowa by the way, a great place in the heart of the country to raise beautiful puppies.
